Born in Cape Breton, Nova Scotia, Executive Chef Steven
Boudreau has traveled from east coast to west coast
and abroad.
He began his culinary training at the highly respected
Culinary Institute of Canada on Prince Edward Island.
After graduation he was selected with 5 other students
to work in Nantucket, Massachusetts, in various resort
properties and restaurants such as the Nantucket Clambake
Company which specialized in high end catering events
and clambakes on the beach, for clients like Bill Clinton
and The Boston Pops Orchestra. Chef Boudreau also spent
a year in Montreal, Quebec where he catered such events
as L’Oreal fashion week.
Steve decided to move to the west coast and worked
in Vancouver, at various restaurants, including Umberto
Menghi’s, Il Giardinos and Pino Posterero”s”
. He then moved to Vancouver Island to work as Executive
Sous Chef for Painters Lodge and April Point Resort
and Spa.
Having discovered Pender Island about a year ago, Chef
Steven is enjoying running the kitchens at Poets Cove
and has made this idyllic Gulf Island his home.
