Beaumont Marine Park & Mt. Norman
can be accessed from Canal Road on the way to Poets
cove or from the water. It is a short paddle from Poets
Cove Marina. There are two trails to be accessed, a
peaceful walk along the shoreline or a hike up Mount
Norman. Depending on which route you take, you may travel
as far as 6 KM. Since Mount Norman is the highest point
on the Penders, it offers panoramic views of the surrounding
areas. Hiking tours to Mount Norman can be organized
with the activities staff including transportation to
and from the trail head by van for $29 per person or
by Canoe or Kayak for $75 per person.
Greenburn Lake is incorporated with the Gulf Island
National Park. The hike up along the old access road
to this picturesque lake surrounded by high bluffs is
accessed beside the Firehall on Gowland Point Road just
past the turn into Poets Cove Resort & Spa. It can
also be accessed on foot from the resort.
Enchanted Forest Trail is about a 25 minutes hike
to a seasonal waterfall. Its trailhead is located on
Spalding Road on the way from the ferry dock to Poets
Cove. It is an easy walk along the road to the trailhead
from the resort. This trail is incorporated in the Complimentary
Welcome Walk.
There are also many short walks along beach accesses
on the way to and just past the resort such as Gowland
Point, Brooks point, Tilly Point, Drummond Bay and Ancia
Rd. Ocean access.
