Executive Chef Allan Daly
Born on the shores of Lake Erie in a small town called Morpeth in Ontario, Executive Chef Allan Daly’s journey to Poets Cove Resort & Spa started 32 years ago after Graduating from George Brown Culinary School of Arts in Toronto Ontario.
His first culinary experience was working in a fine dining restaurant in Reiden, Switzerland. After spending a few years honing his culinary skills in Switzerland, Chef Daly returned to Canada as the Sous Chef for Horseshoe Ski & Golf Resort in Barrie, Ontario and
Maginnty’s in Sidney, BC, where he gained in-depth knowledge of seasonal and locally grown food. Chef Allan then continued his culinary journey, for the next 10 plus years, as the Executive Chef for renowned cruise lines – Norwegian, Holland America and Royal Caribbean.
In his current role as Executive Chef at Poets Cove Resort & Spa, Chef Allan oversees all menu creations and culinary operations for Aurora Restaurant, Syren’s Bistro & Lounge, Moorings Market as well as special events and banquets.
